PROJECT EV4ENERGY

THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE IN THE CENTRE OF THE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PROJECT EV4ENERGY

The Ev4Energy project's main objective is to transform the Electric Vehicle into the centre of electrical distribution.

    The Ev4Energy project intends to place the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), in the centre of the electrical distribution, capable of storing renewable energy and delivering that energy to a house, a building, a neighbourhood, or to the electric power distribution, but also be able to deliver energy to other devices, such as a washing machine, a street light or even another electric vehicle.

    In this way, the aim is to develop devices for connection to the electric vehicle, with vehicle charging capacity, but also with capability to push it back to the grid, for a wide variety of common applications. At the same time, the devices to be developed will be able to contribute to the quality of electrical energy in the network, namely, controlling the frequency in the network and the power factor automatically and continuously.

    This project also proposes to change the paradigm that electric vehicles can be a problem in terms of energy consumption. Its mass use, particularly when we are talking about BEVs, could include a very important set of new services in the energy system.

    All the features of the V2X Ecosystem will result in a set of ground-breaking features:

  • Reduction of expenses with energy costs up to 20%;
  • Complete elimination of power outages in buildings;
  • Increased use of renewable energy by 30%;
  • Elimination of EV operational failures due to lack of autonomy;
  • Charging efficiency (AC-DC conversion) greater than 95%.
